Our Magical Visit to Lapland UK
Our magical visit to Lapland UK. It is a magical, marvellous wonderland full of delights to immerse you in the festive season. Wander through the snowy forest and encounter magical elves who engage with you and make the fantasy feel so realistic you are totally charmed by the experience.
There are activities such as ice skating, baking with Mrs Claus, and the opportunity to see Santa in his beautiful grotto. It really felt like we had stepped into Narnia for the day. It is a magical way to experience Christmas and we have created memories we will cherish forever. It is a perfect family day out with kids.
Located in Ascot, Berkshire it was a good two hour drive from our home in Nottingham. We decided not to stay over night but after a busy day exploring, it felt like we had spent the day in Santa’s very own Disneyland so we were pretty tired by the end of the day.
We have one recommendation; if you are travelling from far away it is worth looking for overnight accommodation as this is a full day out!
Before you set off make sure you look online at www.lapland.co.uk where you can find a wealth of information to plan your visit, purchase official Lapland souvenirs, and special Lapland money to use on the day.
When you arrive after checking in there is a pre show where you get to meat the Elves from Santa’s Elven village. The boys favourite was Conker. He has a special way of saying hello and the boys kept doing the special wave when they got home! It was very magical.
Visitors are called Small Folk at Lapland and have to earn Conkers special golden bell. The boys were delighted when they received this bell at the end of the day and attached it to their elf hats (available as an extra cost).
After the pre show you step into the magical world of Lapland where everywhere is covered in real snow! It would be easy to think that you have flown to the real Lapland. Here there is an opportunity to bake gingerbread men with Mrs Claus and listen to a Christmas story and make toys in Santas toy factory.
Next is the Elven Village where as a family we loved ice skating, shopping and enjoying the delicious food on offer. Last is the opportunity to meat Santa in is grotto.
You are escorted by an elf past Santa’s reindeer to his grotto which is a beautiful wood cabin. Here you are not rushed and Santa really takes the time to get to know your children.
We had such a magical time here at Lapland UK we created memories that will last a life time. Please do check out our You Tube video of our trip below.
