Roarr Dinosaur Adventure – a family day out
We were gifted tickets to Roarr Dinosaur Adventure. This is an honest account of the experience.
Since lockdown 2020 has been lifted we have been keen to start exploring the UK. Norfolk in the east of the UK is a region we have only been to a handful of times so we are keen to explore it more as it is not far us in Nottingham, East Midlands.
we love dinosaurs
The boys are dinosaur mad and I have to admit so am I! Ever since I watched Jurassic Park when I was 10 years old I have been hooked and on of my childhood dream jobs as well as being a teacher was a palaeontologist!
When searching the UK for dinosaur attractions there isn’t many we could find so if you are dinosaur mad family like we are it is worth travelling to visit Roarr Dinosaur Adventure. There is plenty to see and do here for little ones as well as big kids too!
what’s different at roar dinosaur Adventure? – covid 19
There are a number of additional safety measures in place at Roarr Dinosaur Adventure in response to COVID 19. There is a video on Roarr Dinosaur adventure’s website highlighting the current safety measures in place. We were very impressed with the operation of the park here are the safety measures in place we noticed:
- Book tickets in advance only – there are time slots you can arrive
- Hand Sanitisers around the park
- Splash zone is open – you can book a 30 minute timed slot
- Soft play and certain attractions such as the tree top adventures is currently closed
- Take out food and drink from the cafes are available
- Limits on the number of people in the gift shop
Things to see and do at DINOSAUR roar
There is lots to see and do at Dinosaur Roarr including:
- Dinosaur Trail
- Dippy’s Splash Zone
- Outdoor play area
- Jurassic putt crazy golf
- The Lost World maze
- Xtinction dino fossil digging

Exploring the Dinosaur Trail at had to be the highlight of our trip. The sound effects and the variety of dinosaurs hidden through the woodland walk were fantastic and really felt we had travelled back in time to the Jurassic period!
Each dinosaur had a fact board with facts about each dinosaur adding an educational element to to the family day out. We even found some dinosaur eggs on our adventure!
Crazy golf is a great family activity. We loved playing together during our visit and the dinosaur theming added to the fun! There are clear social distancing signs and it is one way too. Don’t miss this fun activity on your visit!
