Family Friendly Things To Do In norfolk
We are so excited to be able to travel now lockdown is closing. There are so many beautiful places to visit in the UK we can’t wait to get exploring! We are making the most of a UK Staycation this year! The county of Norfolk is not far from us in Nottingham but we have never been with the kids before! My husband and I went to Cromer many years ago when I was pregnant and we loved it. We love UK travel!
This time we spent a few days exploring North Norfolk. It took us about 2 hours to reach our destination and there was loads of stops/ service stations along the way should you need them! Here is our top things to do in Norfolk with kids:
wells Next The sEA
Located in North Norfolk. Wells- Next -the- Sea is a small town and port with a beautiful stretch of beach huts and a sandy beach. It is perfect for a family day out! Wells beach is actually owned by the Holkham Estate which is now opening for visitors this summer. There is a beach car park but this fills up early. A short walk down the road there is a large long stay car park with a small train you can catch (charges apply) . Watch our You Tube video to see us on the train!
Beautiful beach huts
The Beach huts were so pretty and colourful it is worth a trip to the beach just to see them! We had loads of fun building sandcastles and paddling in the sea. The sand at Wells Next to the Sea is beautiful and makes lovely sandcastles! If you love photography they make some beautiful photos spots!
Things to do in Norfolk – WELLS BEach
Wells Beach is a such a lovely family day out – we loved exploring the beach, building the sandcastles and paddling in the sea. This is a family friendly beach a lifeguard service operating at peak times. There are toilet and a cafe at the entrance of the beach in the beach car park.
The Harbour has loads to do for the family including amusements and cafes/ restaurants and of course fish and chips!
The region has a variety of beautiful countrysides. Norfolk Lavender in North Norfolk is a great family day out. Please note although Norfolk Lavender is open the large fields are not currently open this year due to Covid19.
