Books gifted for review by Welbeck Publishing.

We love books! I’m so passionate about reading as a family and if you have been following me for a long time you will know that I love blogging about children’s books and finding new exciting books for the boys or for when I’m teaching.

Welbeck Kids part of the Welbeck Publishing group got in touch with me and asked if I would like to review some of their latest titles. An independent book publisher specialising in innovative and beautifully illustrated books, I was super excited to work with them. They kindly gifted us three books to review.

The first two books are interactive which is brilliant for engaging even the most reluctant reader! Using either a tablet or phone the books came to life in front of the boys eyes and really emmersed them into the book. This innovative approach combined with the beautiful illustrations was a win for the boys and provided them with hours of entertainment.

Jake’s favourite was the Toy Story 4 book. He loved how it really made him feel part of the story and helped him learn all about the characters with their interactive character experiences. Simple to use, you just download the free app and scan the pages whilst the characters jump out at you in 3D animation. There is even a game where you have to find the hidden augmented reality clues to unlock a Toy Story character!

Zackary loved both the Star Wars book and the Human Body fact book. Zack loved learning all the facts about the Star Wars galaxy.

The final book is not interactive but a beautiful illustrated science fact book. ‘So you want to build a Human’ is really fun educational book for children who want to learn about the Human Body or love Science. This book would also be great for homeschooling too.
